This manga was a challenge to edit.
Not that I did anything to the SFXs. In fact, I didn’t touch any of the SFXs. It was a challenge because, as good as the scans were (nice black, white, and grey tones!), almost all the pages weren’t square! I spent a lot of time rotating the images and redrawing the missing info around the edges (gutter). If I were lazy (and smart!) I could have just cropped the darn things, but I deemed fixing the images to be a challenge. And a good challenge it was! There were also numerous split pages, which is always awsome to have in a manga, but also a challenge to join. Especially when there’s a large gap in between the split pages! There was one split page set (pages 086-087) where, at the time, I didn’t have the energy nor patience to join them. Thus, I created a contest to allow others to show me their editing skills. The winner was Fred Lim, who did an awesome editing job! Anyhow, overall, I hope that I did the whole manga justice with all the fuss and care I took! Links: |
