Hana’s Holiday Season 2 – Chapter 7

May Sick

Work has been exhausting all week last week, and it made it real rough for me to sum up the energy and concentration to translate this chapter. In fact, my body shut down this weekend, and I ended up sleeping a good part of my Saturday and Sunday afternoons away. I obviously really needed the rest! But, now that I’m all rested, I was able to jam on the last 8 pages (plus revise 6 others) of Chapter 7 of Hana’s Holiday Season 2, last night (some minutes ago)! EI! EI! OH!

So, without further ado, I present to you Chapter 7 of Hana’s Holiday Season 2! Enjoy.

Still in the works…

Since I was unusually struggling with Hana’s Holiday, I didn’t get the chance to work on Chapter 2 of Gift as I had hoped. We’ll see how things go this week! I DUNNO

    Thanks^^

Many thanx Toni for another awesome release! Seems that we (you) are
reaching the end of this vol, isn’t it?

  • Zathael

Many thanks Toni, it looks awesome.

  • BB

Awesome work as usual, thanks for the release.

One thing caught my attention, though:

On page 138 you have the man say “does a charcoal briquette die easily”. It seems weird in the context, as we see later they’re planning on a suicide by carbon dioxyde, probably by burning their charcoal in the closed car.

It feels like the man should be saying it the other way around instead: “Does charcoal briquettes kill easily”, or something like that. In short he’s wondering if their method is fast enough (or painless enough). Then again I can’t read japanese, so I’m only guessing here from the context.

I hope I’m not bruising your ego ;-)
Please keep up the good work.

Hana’s Holiday is one of the best mind-relievers there is (after Yet Another Long Fucking Day, it’s such a great breather to read it, at last in peace), thanks a lot for the translation, Tonigobe ^_^

  • *Taking time to respond, after a long 11-hour work day… Thanks, as always, y’all, for taking time to visit and comment! ^_^ *
@3333: UR most welcum, 3333! LOL! Thai massage? I was thinking of visiting one of the soap-lands in town! ;) (Oh, be quiet, I’m only kidding!) Muuko-san will be up after I take care of Gift!
@Ehud: UR most welcum, Ehud! 2 more chapters to go! I’m tempted to just jam on it… but we’ll see how things go. Right now, after a freaking long day, I’m not sure if I’m up to doing much! (I still have to eat dinner!)
@Zathael: UR most welcum, Zath! Please look forward to the next chapter! ^_^
@BB: UR most welcum, BB. Oh noes!! No ego bruising, please! (I bruise easily! ;) ) Actually, your comment made a lot of sense and caused me do a triple check on that page this morning. (I would have posted a response sooner, but I had to leave for work!) From the Japanese text, it can be translated as I wrote; that’s assuming “charcoal briquettes” is the subject. However, if I were to split the phrases apart it could read, literally: “Charcoal briquettes. Can you die easily (of)?” Unfortunately, there’s no prepositional word or phrase relating directly to “charcoal briquettes”, so a Japanese reader is left to fill in the blanks. Nonetheless, in light of your suggestion, I am doing a revised page tonight, but I’ll include it when I release the tankoubon as a whole; I hope to have miscellaneous typos and what-nots fixed as well. ^_^ (That seems to be my MO, BTW: Release chapters, get audience feedback, then correct and revise for tankoubon release!)
@Oliver: UR most welcum, Oliver! (I know the feeling of a “Long F-ing Day” all too well!)

    I’ll wait patiently Toni.

  • ?????
What is this “Yet another long Fucking Day” manga ? I don’t know, someone give me a link or more info please^^.

  • Oliver

Sadly, “Yet Another Fucking Day” is not a manga. This is the boring story in which you have to wake up early, tire your ass off the whole day with persons you find only midly interesting at best, facing shit after shit since the financial crisis aggravated the shit, in order to earn not enough to ensure your kids proper education and yourself a decent retirement in the future. Some people call it “real life”.
After days like that, go figure why we love so much to bask ourselves in the hentai side of the internet
